Learn how to use grounding techniques such as a Qigong movement or a Pranayama exercise. Using a breath meditation technique, learning to focus on your actual breath, then becoming aware. This class is for new meditators who are trying to get to a comfort level to meditate regularly however, all are welcome. Open with some reminders or guidance, then some grounding techniques, followed by 20-30 mins meditation, then compassionately coming back.  You may sit in a chair or on a mat and prop. This way we may accommodate all comfort, whether yoga outfit or business attire.


5:30 PM – 6:30 PM



Deeply held postures (3-5 minute stretches) that target joint capsules and fascial knots with a meditative focus to release back, hips, shoulders and legs. The profound depth of poses develops stillness and reduces stiffness, freeing up joints an improving overall well-being.


7:00 PM – 8:00 PM



An exercise and healing technique that involves meditation, controlled breathing, and movement exercises. It is traditionally done standing but can be done seated on the floor or in a chair to accommodate limitations.

Meditation while lying down while moving into a deep state of conscious awareness sleep, which is a deeper state of relaxation with awareness. This state involves moving from consciousness while awake to dreaming and then to not-dreaming while remaining awake; going past the unconscious to the conscious. Instructor speaks softly as in hypnotherapy.

Yoga nidra works with the autonomic nervous system which regulates processes of the body that take place without a conscious effort (heartbeat, breathing, digestion and blood flow). This system also includes the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The practice calms the sympathetic nervous system for overall immunity, digestion, and stress management. In addition, the pineal gland is activated, releasing melatonin, a powerful antioxidant, which helps manage immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels, and induce restful sleep. Studies have shown Yoga Nidra is highly effective in reducing both cognitive and physiological symptoms of anxiety.
